Germán (Week 5): Dream jobs

Hi dears, today I have to talk about works, but not any work, but the "worst work we can imagine".

I should mention that I am working in a restaurant in Cartagena that has more than 50 years and that is a good signal for the customers, but not so good for the workers. I will explain why.

Well, first of all, people usually is not as nice as we expect, and if they are having lunch, they only think about their comfort. well, if these people come once to a restaurant and they like it, they will come back, two, three, forty times, they will contemplate that place as their home and probably the waiters are the dog or something.

When people think they are right, you cannot argue with them. When you commit a mistake, you are unprofessional and you do not deserve their presence. Dealing with people could be exhaustive, when a client calls me and asks why do his beer has not arrived already, I only have to look around to let him know that there are many customers there and that he is not the priority. Dealing with people is risky, but dealing with hungry people is even dangerous. Sometimes when I am working, I stop for a second and I think about that dining room full of people that would kill someone in order to take their food before anyone and I got scared.

So yes, to me every work that deals with hungry or thirsty people is similar to the hell on the earth, and even with that, I am working in one of the most famous restaurants of my city.
